Yolanda Sebastian Satumba, 61, of Torrance, California, passed away on February 4, 2023, with her family by her side.
The youngest of ten siblings, she was born to the late Celestino "Viray" Sebastian and Marcela "Cela" Legaspi, on June 30, 1961 in Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Yolanda graduated from San Agustin Academy in 1977 and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of the East, Manila in 1982.
Yolanda met Arnelo Modesto Satumba in 1979 as sophomores in college. They were seated next to each other since the class was seated alphabetically by their surnames. They were married on November 4, 1984 in Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Philippines and together they raised their only child, Sarah Satumba Partible, in Cainta, Rizal.
Tita Yolly, as she was fondly called by her dear friends and family, will forever be known as a fun-loving person with infectious laughter. She would treat people with nurturing love, compassion and utmost generosity. Although not athletic, she had mad skills in bowling. She moved to the United States a little over two decades ago in pursuit of the American Dream that she has lived to enjoy and share with her family. She will remain to be the best mom to her only daughter and an even better grandma to her granddaughters.
She will be missed by her loving husband Arnel, daughter Sarah, son-in-law Anthony, and two beautiful granddaughters, Eve and Pia.
We will forever treasure and keep in our hearts the beautiful memories we shared together until we meet again. We love you, mom!
