Bill Lee
7/28/27-6/13/18
Bill loved everyone and everything (except boiled okra). He was born in Durango, Colorado 90+ years ago. After serving in the Navy, he became an accountant, with a long career as V.P. of Finance for an aerospace company called Super Temp. Bill was an avid golfer, and was famous for his blue pipe, scotch on the rocks, big breakfasts (preferably with biscuits and gravy), and his flirtatious nature. Bill lived most of his life in Orange County; moving to Palm Desert with his loving wife of 44 years, Wanda, when they retired. They relocated to Santa Rosa in 2009, where they quickly made many friends and became involved in the community. After losing their home in the October 2017 wildfires, Bill lost Wanda in December 2017. It brings much comfort to know that he and Wanda are now together again. Bill will be dearly missed by his seven children (Jan Lee, Cindy Bellamy, Jim Lee, Teri Fernandez, Kari Caruso, Penny Geiger and Dawn Ross), thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many friends. Services will be held at Green Hills Cemetery in Palos Verdes on Saturday, July 7th at 2:00 p.m. (viewing 9:00-1:00). Reception to follow. Donations are welcome in his honor at Summerfield Waldorf School in Santa Rosa, where he served as a volunteer crossing guard.
