William G. Klein

Bill went home to be with the Lord on 9/24/13. He was born 1/21/27 in Sacramento, California and lived there until 1975. He was promoted and transferred to Montreal, Quebec and lived there for four years. He moved to San Pedro, California in 1978 and retired in 1986 after 30 years with Carter-Hawley-Hale Corp. He married the love of his life, Shirley Scoble in 1949. They had 3 children Kathy, Mark and Cliff and experienced great times camping, traveling and family get togethers. He loved woodworking, making lead soldiers and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix! His grandchildren were an important part of his life and he attended countless sporting events, school programs and birthday parties. He loved performing magic tricks and spent many hours doing his show for his grandchildren's birthdays and classrooms. His family was his priority and his home was a gather place during his life. He also embraced Shirley's siblings as his own and all their children. Bill accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior through a Billy Graham Crusade in his adult years and this became a lifelong passion. He was always very involved in his churches, teaching Operation Timothy and Sunday school and helping with work projects. He carried a "4 Spiritual Laws" tract in his pocket and if you ever met him he would share them with you! He also was a part of the Gideon's ministry. Shirley passed away in 2007 after 56 years of marriage. Bill was lucky enough to meet the 2nd "love of his life," Judy and they married in 2009. They enjoyed golfing, traveling and family. They continued serving the Lord together. He also gained 3 daughters and their loving families. He is preceded in death by his sister Anna, grandson Cruz, wife Shirley and son Mark. He is survived by his wife Judy, brother Earl (Marian), daughter Kathy (Don), son Cliff (Chimen) granddaughters Amanda (Nick) and Jen, grandsons Blake (Lauren), Trent and Connor, great grandsons Shawn, Bradley, Deegan, Luke, and great granddaughters Grace and Madison. Stepdaughters Shelly (Kim), Darrie (Rick) and Karen (John). Step grandsons Aaron (Stephanie), Matthew (Jenna), Logan and Ryland.
A memorial service is planned at Rolling Hills Covenant Church in Rolling Hills Estates for Friday October 4th at 11 am in the North Chapel. There will also be a viewing at Green Hills Mortuary on Thursday, October 3rd from 3 to 8 pm.
