Virginia "Ginny" Seaton Jung

Virginia "Ginny" Seaton Jung died peacefully at home on November 24, 2014 at age 90. She is survived by 4 children: Gary (& partner Jim Gallagher) Jung, Steven (& Lois Barnes) Jung, Darrelyn Bender, Carolyn (& Brent) Cook. 6 grandchildren: Jessica (& Scott) Warren, Meredith Jung, Phillip Jung, Caitlin Bender, Ryan Geller, Melissa Cook. 3 great-grandchildren: Emalee, Charlie & Anna Warren. Ginny grew up on a farm in Kansas, and contributed to the WWII effort working at the Cessna factory in Wichita. At age 22 she followed brothers Ken and Art to California. She met her late husband of 55 years, Darrell "Red" Jung, while both worked for the Gas Co. in Venice. A 60 year resident of Torrance, Ginny taught over 20 years at Fleming Jr. High in Lomita, while raising a family and being active in the Walteria United Methodist Church. We will miss her. Memorial Service at Walteria United Methodist Church, 3646 Newton St, Torrance, on Saturday, November 29, at 10:00 a.m. Reception in Church Social Hall thereafter. Private inurnment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
