Virginia Romo, 89, of Torrance, California, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024 Virginia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives. Born on June 6, 1935, she spent her life surrounded by family and friends, building a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Known for her talents and creativity, Virginia enjoyed crocheting, crafting, painting, and gardening. Her cooking brought joy to all. She shared her life with her loving husband, Albert "Papa," her soulmate of 60 years. Together, they created a beautiful family and an unbreakable bond. She was the proud mother of her daughters Gloria (Bob) Schatz, Shirley (Bill) Thomson, Helen (Mike) Butler, and Alva Romo, and she treasured the memory of her son, George Aguilar, who preceded her in passing. Virginia was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and even became "Grandma" to friends and their families, welcoming them all with open arms. She shared a deep love for her siblings and cherished her nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Virginia will be remembered for her big heart, sense of humor, and the boundless love she offered to everyone she met. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her. A reception in her honor will be held at Veterans of Foreign Wars, located at 1865 Lomita Blvd, Lomita, CA 90717, beginning at 4:00 p.m., with food served from 4:30 to 6:30. Virginia will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her
