Virginia Gutierrez-Brown

She was born to the late Pedro Ortega and Gabina Bergman (Duron), 1947 in San Pedro, California. Virginia graduated from San Pedro High School in 1965.

Virginia is survived by her spouse Paul Brown and her former husband Guadalupe Gutierrez and is predeceased by her former husband Robert Loveday. Virginia is survived by three sons: Michael Loveday, of Torrance; Anthony Loveday, of San Pedro; and David Gutierrez, of Dexter, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Virginia was proudly employed by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services where, through her hard work and ambition, she rose from an entry-level clerk to the position of hospital-wide administrator. After retiring, Virginia loved to travel, garden, and spend her free time with her friends, loved ones and of course her cat’s!

Viewing ceremony will be held on Monday, November 27 at 4:30 PM at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wilmington followed by the burial at Green Hills Mortuary.
