Velma Katherine Marino

Velma Marino, 90, of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, went to be with the lord, February 9, 2012; her family was at her side. She was born in San Pedro, California. She graduated from San Pedro High School in summer 1939. She married Joseph Marino in March, 1943. She was employed by various firms and businesses, including, Harbor Ship Supply, Marshall Petrie CPA and most recently, Antes Restaurant until she retired. Mrs. Marino was a past president of San Pedro Business and Professional Women's Club. She did volunteer work at Mary Star of the Sea Church. She attended computer classes at Meyler adult school. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, nieces, a nephew and all of their children. Mrs. Marino was preceded in death by her husband. A service will be held Thursday, February 16, at 1PM, Green Hills Memorial Park, in San Pedro, California. Interment will take place immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the ASPCA or a charity of your choice.
