Valeriana Cruz Buendia

Widowed Valeriana “Belen” Cruz Buendia died peacefully in Wilmington, CA on December 27, 2019 at the age of 83.

Valeriana is survived by her six children, Josephine, Joselito, William, Virginia, Michael, and Patricia; her eleven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Valerie, Jenilee, Joselito, Michael, Melissa, Matthew, Kaelin, Gregory, Andrew, and Emma; and her sibling, Paquito, Philippines. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose and her siblings, Agapita and Reynaldo, Philippines.

Valeriana was born on Febuary 12, 1936 in Bulacan, Philippines to Pio and Beatriz Cruz. She married Jose Buendia in 1961. After moving to America, Valeriana adjusted very well living in a new country taking care of her children and later, her grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren remember her as prayerful, loving, kind, gentle, patient and humble who encouraged them to be the best they can be.

A funeral service is scheduled for January 17, 2020 at 10am at Nativity Catholic Church, 1447 Engracia Avenue, Torrance, CA and followed by an internment at Green Hills Memorial at 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
