Tristan John Strozier was born on March 4, 1981, in Mons, Belgium. From the very beginning, he brought warmth, energy, and light into the lives of everyone who knew him. Known affectionately as “Bugga” and later “TJ,” he was a vibrant, fun-loving spirit with a generous heart, a big laugh, and a knack for making people smile.
Raised in a military family, Tristan lived in Belgium, Ohio, Louisiana, and California, embracing adventure and forming lifelong friendships—especially during his teenage years at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, CA. He later found great purpose in serving as a U.S. Border Patrol agent, a role he carried out with pride and integrity.
Tristan’s greatest joy came with fatherhood. His daughters, Nadia and Victoria, were his world. He embraced every moment—from tea parties to living room dance-offs—and cherished his role as a devoted and loving “girl dad.”
Tristan is survived by his daughters, Nadia and Victoria of Oceanside, CA; his mother, Paula Strozier; his father and bonus mother, Willard and Hayley Strozier; his grandmother, Mary Page; siblings Tabatha (Bryan), Willard II (Kasandra), and Anouska (Jon); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He is also lovingly remembered by his bonus family, the Marquez family of Oceanside, CA.
Though deeply missed, Tristan’s spirit lives on in the memories, laughter, and love he shared so freely. His legacy is one of joy, devotion, and unforgettable presence
