Timothy Allan Tindall

Timothy Alan Tindall of Torrance, California, passed away on June 12, 2023 after a valiant fight against cancer.

Timothy was born on September 23, 1963 to Thomas O. Tindall, Sr. and Dora W. Tindall in Rome, New York and moved with his family to Los Angeles in 1967. After graduating from Westchester High School, Los Angeles in 1982, he went on to study at Santa Monica College and California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

After graduating from college, Timothy worked for several companies and was an employee of FedEx Office at the time of his passing.

Timothy loved the ocean and the beautiful Southern California South Bay Beaches. He developed a reputation as a skilled big wave body board surfer and mentored many who wanted to learn how to surf. He was an accomplished photographer and had many photographs appear in local South Bay publications and published as greeting cards. His real passion was his devotion to family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all and remembered for his wonderful, youthful spirit.

Timothy is predeceased by Thomas O. Tindall, Sr., father; Dora W. Tindall, mother; and John W. Tindall, brother. He is survived by brothers Thomas O. Tindall, Jr. (Okyo) of Santa Fe, NM and Theodore A. Tindall of Los Angeles, CA; and sister Teresa T. Spears (Don) of Littleton, CO.

Interment will be held at Creech’s Chapel, Whitesburg, Tennessee on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 am. Services will be held at Redeemed South Bay Church, 2545 W. 237th St, Suite A, Torrance, California 90505 on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3:00 pm and a Memorial Paddle Out at Manhattan Beach North Side Pier will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 9:00am.
