Theron Jackson

Theron Jackson of Harbor City, California peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born May 16, 1938, the ninth child and fifth son, to Wilson and Hattie Jackson in a small rural town, Ada Taylor, located in the northern part of Louisiana.

Educated at Coleman High School, Theron moved to Los Angeles after graduation to join his brothers and seek employment. He later attended Long Beach State University where he received a degree in marketing. One of his places of employment led him to the real estate field. After working several years in this area, Theron decided to take a leap of faith and open his own real estate company, Realty World. For 50+ years, the company prospered and still does today but now under new ownership. Theron was a prominent businessman and was known for his professionalism, fairness, and his passion to help others. He was purpose-driven and always wanted to finish a project he started and held others accountable also.
He was involved in the community and worked diligently with the Prison Ministry at Judson Baptist Church. He served in the military and was recognized with an Army Good Conduct medal along with an honorable discharge.

Theron loved his family and enjoyed family gatherings. He tried to make sure that his family was in a good place including his immediate family as well as his nieces and nephews. His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, Terrlyn; his daughters, Beverly Wilson (Vincent) Deniese Jones (Johnny), Marzella Gatling (Warren), and Tayler Kanu (Al Hassan); his grandchildren, Teniese Carter, Brandee Anderson, Philip Carter, and Jaide Anderson; his soon to arrive great granddaughter Coast; his siblings, Annie Sims, Georgia Brown, and Lillie Wilson (James) ; his nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, friends, and members of his office.
