Colette as she was known by everyone was the daughter of Stanislas and Marie Bugalski. Born August 8, 1928 in Paris, France she passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in Little Company of Mary Hospital in San Pedro, California. Colette was one of a kind living a life of adventure starting with her horse Papillion in France. She grew up near Madame Curie and shared that with everyone she encountered. She was also proud of her early work with the Dept of Defense and volunteer work with the Red Cross. Never short of words and stories, she kept friends and family endlessly entertained. Being an Army wife, her and Ed traveled around much of Europe and lived across the US in places like Alaska, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and California. She spent the last two years of her life by the seaside in California with her husband, son and daughter-in-law. She stayed active drawing, spending time with friends, family, up to five small dogs at once and looking at the ocean. She was always thanking everyone for everything even when getting poked by a needle at the hospital. It was hard not to smile or laugh around her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helene Albright in 2001. Colette is survived by Edgar Jr., her husband of almost 56 years; her son, Edgar III and his wife, Marcia; her three siblings, Bernadette Bugalski, Pierre (Hugette) Bugalski and Bernard (Simone) Bugalski; two grandchildren, Kevin (Julia) Albright and Leah Spaulding, other relatives and many close friends. Colette's positive free spirit will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts and memories.
