Theodore W. Paulson, age 74, a Los Angeles native, passed peacefully at his home after a battle with cancer on November 17, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia, son Jon, daughter Hilary and their spouses and children. Ted was a graduate of Van Nuys High School, UCLA, the Harvard School of Management, and the US Army War College. He went on to dual careers with the Land Management Division of Southern California Edison and in the United States Army Reserve, retiring as a Major General. After retirement Ted volunteered in his community, serving on the Rancho Palos Verdes Planning Commission, the Board of Trustees of the Peninsula Library, and as President of the Friends of the Library ¬- along with numerous organizations supporting U.S. Veterans.
His unflagging energy, devotion to family and community, as well as his vibrant personality will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Interment and military honors will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area #2, on November 28, 2011 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the U.S. VETS Village at Long Beach, the Wounded Warriors Project, and the Peninsula Friends of the Library.
