Thelma Giron Garcia

Thelma Garcia, a certified nurse assistant and life-long resident of California, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2022 at the age of 77 years old at Kaiser Hospital, South bay.

Thelma is survived by her four children, Ericson, Ethel, Arlynne, and Jennifer; her grandchildren, AJ, Jaden, Jyrou, Janah, Charlie, Charlynne, Isabel, Frederick Jr and Joebel; her sister, Merlita; and her brothers, Augusto Jr, and Edgardo.

Thelma was born in Tayug, Pangasinan, Philippines on March 24, 1945 to Telesfora and Augusto Sr. She graduated from Luna Colleges in March of 1967 a Bachelor Degree in Education and worked as a kindergarten teacher in the Philippines for over 10 years. On May 24, 1969 she married Isabelo Garcia, the love of her life, and eventually they welcomed four beautiful children. In 1984 Isabelo migrated to America and Thelma followed in the later years along with their children, thrilled to start a new life. Thelma was an energetic hard-working woman both at home and at work, where she hardly missed a day. Thelma took great pride in her job and was compassionate as a nurse assistant. On her time off, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family such as taking trips and tending to her thriving garden of flowers and vegetables. Thelma had a kind heart and took very good care of her grandchildren. Thelma was humble and constantly praying and attending church services. Thelma will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00-3:00 pm on June 2, 2022 at Green Hills Cemetery.
