Sylvia Santina (Richelli) Tuxen was born to the union of William and Norma Richelli on June 25, 1930. She was born and raised in San Pedro, CA where she attended 15th Street Elementary School, Dana Middle School and graduated from San Pedro High School. Sylvia was blessed to have married and raised her three children: Gary Bell, Kathleen (Bell) Frink and Norma (Bell) Owenby in the beautiful city of San Pedro. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, her love Paul Tuxen, her brothers Andrew and William Richelli and her daughter, Norma.
Sylvia loved the Lord which was reflected by her attendance and participation at Holy Trinity, where she used her voice as an instrument of praise; expressing her love for God in song. Sylvia had a strong work ethic and an eye for detail. She held various positions before settling with the County of Los Angeles, where she later retired as a procurement assistant.
Sylvia was a lady of many talents, she could knit, sew, sing, cook and play the piano. She was an avid sports fan and often watched tennis, basketball, track and field and ice skating. She enjoyed simple pleasures like reading the newspaper, eating at her favorite restaurant (Hof’s Hut), going to the casino and driving her friends to the grocery store.
Sylvia was an incredibly humble and selfless person. She will be remembered for her generosity, her loving spirit, her kindness and her infectious smile. Sylvia leaves to cherish her memories, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
