Susan Sutherin Meyer

On September 3rd, heaven was blessed with a new angel. Susan S. Meyer, a longtime resident of Manhattan Beach, was a wonderful, loving, caring, generous mother, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her son, Steven Meyer, her daughter-in-law, Maggie Meyer, brother, Mike Wilson, sister-in-law, Mary Koch Wilson, sister, Linda Wilson Rogers, five grandchildren, Justin, Jonathan, Marc and wife Cindy, Matthew, Joseph, two great grandchildren, Cash, and Emmarosa, and a multitude of nieces and nephews who affectionately called her Grandma Sue. She was preceded in death by husband, Jack Meyer, longtime companion, Jim Zeitler, and parents, William and Alverna Wilson. Susan devoted her time to Children's Hospital Thrift Shop, Meals on Wheels, American Martyrs Church, Port Royal Yacht Club, her family and friends, and many more. She was a lover of Hawaiian shirts, roller coasters, Birkenstock's, White Zinfandel, road trips, and card games. As the heart of a large and expanding family, she hosted monthly family gatherings and Taco Tuesdays in her Manhattan Beach home. Susan will be missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers please donate to ASPCA. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Sunday, September 11th at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel with interment to follow.
