Steve Leon Elliott, Sr.

Our beloved husband, father and friend Steve Leon Elliott Sr. of Garden Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 4th, 2016 at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer. Steve was born on September 18th, 1952 to Robert and Betty in Torrance, California and is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Cheryl, his two children Steve Jr. and Melissa, and his brother Glen. As a young man he achieved the highest honor of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. After graduating from Narbonne High School in 1970, Steve would later go on to be a Journeyman Waterfront Mechanic in Long Beach California for 30 years until his retirement in 2011. Steve truly enjoyed his time with his family and friends and had a love of working with his hands as a mechanic. He also loved attending car shows and racing events with his son. He especially treasured family dinners at his favorite Mexican restaurant. Steve's Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 15th, 2016 at 12 noon at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be submitted to Team Racers for Christ at www.teamrfc.org .
