Stanka Bosiljka Mazich

May 2, 1931 – October 25, 2016 Stanka Bosiljka Mazich, 85, of San Pedro, California, passed away in her hometown, Rijeka, Croatia surrounded by her daughter, nephews and family friends. She met the love of her life, Svetko Mazich, while in college and celebrated 64 years of marriage with him. She was an accountant for an oil refinery in Rijeka, Croatia (INA – Industrija nafte). Once married, she moved to San Pedro, California in 1958 and has resided there ever since. Although she lived in the US, she continued to travel and visit Croatia each summer with her husband Svetko. Her children, Pete and Linda are both professional musicians and attribute all their success to their mother. Stanka is survived by her husband of 64 years, Svetko Mazich; son, Pete Mazich and wife Ljijlana; daughter, Dr. Linda Mazich Govel and husband, Grant; and by her grandchildren, Nicole Polic (Mike), Cindy Mazich, Tony Mazich, Grant Dorian Govel, and Carli Julianne Govel; and great-grandchild, Mia Polic. Donations to the Dalmatian American Club Scholarship Fund can be made in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held at Green Hills Mortuary, Rancho Palos Verdes on November 10, 2016 at 4pm - 8pm.
