Socorro Castro

Socorro Castro, 91 years young, passed away on November 17, 2018, at her home in Mission Viejo, CA. She was the widow of Constantino Castro. They shared 40 years of marriage together.

Born in Gomez Palacios Durango she was the daughter of Jesus Maria and Maria de Jesus Juarez. She attended school in Cd. Juarez, where she studied to become a nurse.

She was a faithful Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandmother. She will always put others before herself and did not ask anything in return.

Socorro, was loving, giving, hospitable, a disciplinarian, was never late! She would extend a hand to anyone in need; and a devoted volunteer for her Grand-daughter’s organization ‘Yesenia’s Humanitarian Foundation’. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her children Lorenzo Juarez, Elizabeth Orozco & Miguel Orozco (spouse), Juan Carlos Pedroza, Jose Alfredo Pedroza & Maria Pedroza (spouse), Jesus Juarez & Christina Rios, Rosie Castillo, Miguel Castro & Mireya (spouse), Daniel Castro, Susan & Daryll Criss (spouse). Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Constantino Castro, daughter Aida Rico & Roberto Rico (spouse), grandson Ariel Rico and granddaughter Yesenia Monett Orozco, Socorro G. Juarez (daughter-in-law)

The funeral memorial and graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 9:30 AM at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. With interment at the Green Hills Memorial Park cemetery. The viewing visitation will be held from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM the time of the service.
