Shirley Esther Robertson

Shirley Esther Robertson passed away unexpectedly on November 4th, 2022, at Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, California, at the age of 86.

She was born in Drayton Plains, Michigan on May 26, 1936 to Arthur and Gladys Schott. She married the love of her life, David Robertson, Jr. in Gardena, California in 1957. She was predeceased by her husband David, Jr (1929-1978), twin siblings Laurence and Laurene Schott (1934-1934), and her younger brother Ralph Schott (1939-2014). Shirley is survived by her sons David Robertson, III and Tom (Karen) Robertson; grandchildren Chelsea Robertson and Dane Robertson; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family — all who loved her very much and will miss her dearly.

A special thank you to the caregivers at Global Elderly Care in Lomita, California, where Shirley resided the last 4 years of her life as well as to all those who helped her to live as healthy a life as possible.

Private funeral and graveside services will be held for immediate family at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, California. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in early 2023 for all who knew Shirley. Details to be announced at that time.
