Shirlee Ilene (Nowell) Dunn-Miller

Shirlee Dunn-Miller beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away from cancer on January 21, 2016. She was 92 years young.
Shirlee lived most of her life in Huntington Park, Wilmington and Torrance before moving to Placerville. She worked at a local doctor office and C&C Marine. Shirlee was able to tour Europe and went on several cruises to Alaska, Hawaii and the Mediterranean. One of her favorite yearly trips was fishing with the family at Twin Lakes near Bridgeport. She enjoyed cooking, hosting family parties during the holidays, birthdays and baby showers with lasting memories. She loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very kind, generous and extremely passionate. Her love for flowers showed in the flower gardens as she found great peace working with the soil.
Shirlee is survived by: 3 sons Gary Dunn, Mike (Sheri) Dunn, Steve (Mary) Dunn, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Shirlee is preceded in death by: husbands Bill Miller and Bud Dunn; sister Lois Sebring and brother Ted Nowell.
Services will be held on February 6, at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either the American Cancer Society or the Society for the Blind in memory of Shirlee Dunn-Miller.
