" In many ways I like to think of my mom like a beautiful tree that sheltered
and cared for me my entire life. This tree was always there rain or shine, and even
when she was upset with me she’d still be there waiting for me to come to my senses.
And even when I was old enough to venture out from beneath the warmth of her
branches I knew that if I needed her for anything at all she would be waiting with
open arms.
She was the strength and roots of this family and although rigid and unwavering
at times, she would always flex and bend to find ways to care for others even if that
meant sacrificing some of herself in the process. She had many friends and her leaves
reached far and wide and her warmth touched the hearts and lives of many people.
She was opinionated and strong-minded and she often times fought for what she
believed in to a fault but it was that strength that all of us will remember her by.
It is this memory of her Love for her Family and Friends that brings me comfort in
this time; those memories of her kindness and caring ensure that she is immortalized
in our hearts until the end of time.
She wouldn’t want any of us to be saddened by her passing so I ask you all to
Remember her kindness, and celebrate the life that she lived and the lives of those
she touched."
