Sean was born November 23, 1975 in Oxnard, California and passed away with heart failure on February 19, 2013 in Harbor City, California. He is survived by his parents William Frank McGrane of Ventura, California and Barbara Roxy Lowe of Harbor City, California. He has numerous aunts and uncles along with many cousins throughout the United States. He was a resident of Harbor City for the past twelve years.
Sean grew up in Cookson, Oklahoma and graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1994 where he played Basketball, Golf and Tennis. He also played League Soccer for 10 years. His passion for sports is from his grandmother, Mary Jo Varcoe, as they watched all sports and both loved College Basketball and Football. Sean's favorite teams were Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan Football, Roger Federer in tennis, #3 of NASCAR and #5 of Motocross. Sean enjoyed his music, good times with friends, his family, the outdoors, the stars, books, Xbox games, Starwars and old movies.
Sean was diagnosed with Cardio Myopathy in 1995 and received a heart transplant at UCLA in May of 1997. He was hospitalized in November 2013 as his heart was in rejection. He was on the transplant list for another heart but he lost the fight on February 19, 2013.
Sean worked at the University of Southern California for the past three years where he enjoyed working with his friends and coworkers.
Sean was a special person that had a passion for life. He had a love for his family and friends. Through his hardships he always moved forward to be a good person. Sean was a loyal friend, to all his friends who he met both in Oklahoma and California. He was a kind, loving, polite, and a respectful person; he will be greatly missed by all that have met him.
