1942-2014
Sandra Rae Fitzpatrick Burchell was born to William and Zada Fitzpatrick in Bellevue, NE. Our beloved mother lost her battle with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on Monday, July 28th, 2014. She was surrounded in love by her three children, sons Marsh and Colby Burchell, daughter Jennifer Lee, daughter-in-law Joanna Burchell, and son-in-law Daniel Lee. Sandra was creative, sassy, and loved life. Sandra was always on the go: Bellevue High School Chieftans, appearing as Snow White in the school play, working hard at the family restaurant, The Henny Penny, attending Stephens College in Missouri and Texas Christian University. She met her husband Harold in Bellevue and they moved to Germany to work and live for a time, returning to New Jersey to start her family—creating a new life. She dedicated her life to her children and to serving the community. The majority of Sandra's career was in the Aerospace industry.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Sandra at the Torrance Women's Club on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Location address is 1422 Engracia Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, California Southland Chapter. This society assisted Sandra greatly in her battle against Lymphoma for the past one and a half years. Sandra will be missed tremendously, but we are comforted that she is in Heaven embraced in the arms of Jesus.
