Sabrina Torres, a life-long resident of the South Bay Area, left us on earth to be in eternal peace, Tuesday, January 26th of 2021, at a young age of 43, after a hellacious battle against COVID.
Sabrina was born on Sunday, September 4th 1977 to Rosalie Trejo and the late Eddie Torres. She was the 3rd of four siblings on her mother's side. She worked as a massage therapist at Stevedores in Wilmington, and an entrepreneur on the side. She was always trying to find creative ways to make money to support her family and the things she loved.
Sabrina was loved by not only her family, but by a city of people in San Pedro where she grew up, and so many others that have crossed her path along the way. For those who knew Sabrina, know she was nothing short of amazing. She was a wonderful daughter who helped out her mother immensely, a loving sister, a mother who loved her children unconditionally and the best she knew how to, the light to her fiance, a loyal friend to many, the heart of most.
Sabrina will always be remembered by her carefree charisma, full of life personality. She was always the life of the party. She would light up the room with her free spirit, beautiful big white smile, high cheekbones, hypnotizing bright green eyes, and contagious laughter.
Sabrina loved to live life to the fullest. She was hardworking, incredibly fit and active, adventurous, risk taking, she loved shopping, she was caring and loving, miraculous, one of a kind person. She loved to cruise along the coast with family and friends; hangout and admire the view. Her kids used to get embarrassed when she used the phrase, YOLO! But that is how she lived her life.
Sabrina had been battling challenges with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis for years. You would have never known the obstacle she was facing because she was good at hiding it. She had good days and she had her bad days. She was stubborn though, she would never let anyone know how hard it was for her, but she never lost faith in herself or abilities to get by and continue to live life as if it were her last. She lived a fulfilling life the way she wanted to. On her Instagram main page she wrote; "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough"; we believe in our hearts, that she did just that and it was enough to last a lifetime of happiness to her and others she shared her life with.
Sabrina leaves us to treasure every wakening moment, in her loving memory to her surviving six children; Jenevie, Gabriel, Desteny, Catrina, Nicolas and Isela; her grandson, Gabriel; fiance, Dimitri; mother, Rosalie; brother, Ernie; sisters, Melissa, Monique and Rene; two grandmothers, Angelita Trejo and Rachel Torres; five grandpups; eight nieces; five nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins, best friends and several other countless friends and family.
Sabrina will be cherished and will forever live in our hearts. May her spirit live in eternal peace, in Paradise where she will be reunited with with her father Eddie; sister, Jeanette; grandfather, Eving Trejo; best friends Kai and Gil, and many others that she loved and lost throughout her lifetime. She will truly be missed; but her stories will continue to be told so that not only will she remains in our hearts, but in our present, and that will last a lifetime.
