Russel Elwood Schatz, the son of Samuel and Marguerite Schatz, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2012 at the age of 90. He was born on February 27, 1922 in Pennsylvania and had been a long time resident of Lomita, California. Russel is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Schatz; children, Judy Groff, Joan Schatz (Rugere De Partee), Robert Schatz (Gloria), Steve Schatz; grandchildren, Stephen, Cheryl, John, Erica, Robert, Kevin, Hollie, Elizabeth, James; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Mackenzie and sister, Joyce Herbert.
