In Loving Memory of Rufino C. Atienza Jr.
June 19, 1963- December 3, 2024
Rufino C. Atienza Jr., aka “Jun” to his close family and friends, unexpectedly passed away on December 3, 2024. He joined his beloved parents (Rufino Sr. and Lucina), his older sister Mila, and his son, Jomar, in heaven. His love, laughter, and memories will be cherished by his college sweetheart and wife of 35 years, Marila; his loving daughters (Jazzel and Kristene Mary); his four younger siblings (Amie, Marie, Rey, and Roy); his close member of the family, Tita Carol; his wife siblings (Luz, Mildred, Nelson, Olivia, Philip, Reylan, and Aldrin); his in laws (Nico, Gilbert, Monica, Josie, Joe, Dhay-in, Manny, Edwin, Scarlet and Jing). He is well-loved by family, relatives, friends, and colleagues.
Jun was born in Hagonoy, Bulacan Philippines. Jun was a devout Roman Catholic, family man, highly intellectual, and generous person. His charm, presence, and smile eased people’s minds. Jun grew up playing basketball and badminton. Jun loved driving, traveling, and listening to music. His favorite colors were white and blue.
Jun was a first-generation college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business administration. He rose from the rank as a public servant in Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and retired as a manager in 2008 as he migrated to California, United States of America alongside his family. He worked as a Staff Accountant for another 15 years.
