Roy Hachiro Teruya

Roy Hachiro Teruya passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born on October 1, 1942, in Lanai City, Lanai, Hawaii. He lived on Lanai until he was drafted into the Army in 1964. After leaving the military Roy was a long-time resident of Torrance, CA where he worked, raised his family and enjoyed his retirement years.

Roy is survived by his sisters Harue “Dolly” Zaan and Marianne Higa, brother Satsuki “Teru”, wife Lillian, son and daughter-in-law Aric and Karen, daughter and son-in-law Trisha and Tim and beloved grandchildren Sarah, Keila and Aleina.
