Roy was born March 18th, 1925 in Hartford Arkansas to Bessie and Burley Gunn. He passed away on December 18, 2012 at his home. He moved to San Pedro while in high school and graduated from San Pedro High School Winter 1944. While attending SPHS he met his future wife Jean A. Garrison. After graduating from high school he was drafted into WWII, Army and served in the Pacific Theatre. Most of his military service was in Luzon, Philippines where he loaded the "big guns". When the war was over he spent the remainder of his military career helping out in Japan and then home. When he returned home in 1946 he and Jean were married within two weeks of his return and had 62 ½ years of married life before Jean passed in December 2008. Roy was a machinist for several years in many shops including Neill Aircraft Co. but his favorite job was at TRW where he worked for about 27 years until he retired. He and Mom traveled all over the Western United States in their travel trailer and enjoyed retirement. Dad was predeceased by his parents, sister Alma Rotenberry & brother Burley Gunn, Jr... He is survived by his daughters Jane Kopecky (Eugene), Lucinda Traughber (Brad), grand-daughters Karole and Laura Kopecky, grandson Josh Bramlett (Delia) and his beloved great-grandchildren Matthew and Valerie Bramlett. Dad we know that you are happy to be with Mom now but you will be loved by us forever and missed terribly. In lieu of flowers memorials to go to The Bodie Foundation P.O.
