Obituary
Rosemary S. Crespin, a free spirit with a heart of gold, was fierce and loving. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. Taken from us too soon at 78 on October 21, 2024. Born on September 20, 1946, in Fresno, California, to Gabriel and Rosario, who preceded her in death along with her sister Lily and brother Chris. She was better known to close family and friends as Peaches, a name gracefully given to her by her first grandchild, Jonathan. Peaches lived in a boxcar during her childhood years as her parents worked in the fields. They then moved to San Pedro, California, where she attended San Pedro High School. Peaches went on to marry and have five kids: Joey, Chico, and Renee, who preceded her in death. She is survived by 2 living children, Valerie/Patrick and Mannie/Precious, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandkids, all of whom she loved and cherished. Meanwhile, she worked at The American Can Company and later became an International Longshore and Warehouse member and a part of Local Union 13, where she worked as a dock worker until she retired at the age of 70. She spent her free time traveling and gambling.
A note:
We are so grateful for the way we were raised. You were never afraid to be our mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother- to put your foot down, to teach us right from wrong, to make sure we did our best. You always let us know that you cared about us, who believed in us, who was there for us no matter what. We are so grateful and appreciative of who you were to us. You will never be forgotten, and you will always be in our hearts..
