Rose Somoza - Steingrobe

Rose Somoza Steingrobe (nee Guagenti) of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on June 28th, 2013 with her family by her side.
Rose was born on August 30th, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Salvatore and Anna Guagenti (nee Diorio). She lived in Torrance California for many years with her large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rose is survived by her husband, Miguel Somoza and her two children, James Steingrobe (Barbara) of Roseburg Oregon and Erica Steingrobe also of Roseburg. Rose has three grandchildren, Erica and Anthony Steingrobe along with Ryan Christian. Rose also has two siblings, Eva Gobel (Peter) of Roseburg, Oregon and Salvatore Guagenti (Carol) of Torrance, California.
Rose loved to spend time with her family as well as her many extended family members. She also had a strong love for animals and a dog or cat was almost always a part of her family. Rose was a retired RN and worked in the Southern California area with a specialization in caring for the elderly. She also loved watching television with one of her favorite shows being "I Love Lucy."
A viewing will be held Sunday, July 7th from 3pm to 8pm at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 8th at 11:00am in Green Hills Memorial Park, Pacifica Addition Mausoleum 645E.
