Rose Cristino

It is with greatest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mom and grandma. Rose Marie Cristino passed away on September 4, 2022 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, California at the age of 74. She was a lifelong resident of San Pedro, California.

Rose is survived by her children Marian (Gerald) Cristino-Barnes, Rosanne (John) Salas, Chris Rico and grandchildren Sierra, Vincent, Alicia and Johnny. She is preceded in death by her husband Vincent Alexander Cristino and parents Rosario “Chayo” and Alice Morales.

Rose was born on February 12, 1948 in San Pedro, California to Rosario and Alice Morales. She attended K-8 at Holy Trinity School and then attended Mary Star of the Sea High School. She worked in various positions for Bay Harbor Hospital, Dr. Barry Tischler and at the PMA payroll office. She was a wonderful loving mom and grandma. Her greatest joy was being the primary caretaker for all four of her grandchildren.

Rose had the blessing of being an accomplished painter and quilter. She showed her love through sharing her talents with family and friends. She was a dedicated member of TELAS de la Vida, a sewing group promoting quilting in the Latina Community. She truly enjoyed spending time with her TELAS amigas creating beautiful quilts.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13th at Green Hills at 9am.
