Rosalie Valgellini
December 13, 1933 – May 14, 2025

Rosalie Valgellini passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 13, 1933 in Terrasini, Sicily to Filippo and Grazia (Orlando) Rugnetta. In April 1947, Rosalie immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island and settled in Monterey, California with her parents and brother. In 1953, Rosalie married Giuseppe (Joe) Valgellini and raised their children in San Pedro, California. Rosalie was known for cooking big family Italian dinners, trips to Las Vegas, and spent many evenings playing poker with her friends. In her later years, she cherished casino bus trips with her sisters and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Valgellini, her son Anthony Valgellini, and her grandson Joey Agrusa.

Rosalie is survived by her daughters: Nina Berckley, Grace Valgellini, and Mary Valgellini; her sisters: Nina Trivison and Phyllis (Bob) Baranic; her brother-in-law Mercurio (Maria) Valgellini, and her sister-in-law Catherina Perna of Terrasini, Sicily; her grandchildren: Rose (Michael) Flory, Jennifer (Chris) McRae, Anthony (Yvette) Agrusa, Dominic (Adriana) Agrusa, Maria Agrusa, and Ricky Berckley; her numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Green Hills Chapel 5:00pm – 8:30pm
A memorial service will be held at Green Hills Chapel May 21st at 2:00pm
