RJ leaves his daughter, Maya Grace, Danville, CA; mother Ardena Layne, RPV, CA; sister Alayne' Taylor, Napa, CA; maternal grandmother Ilene Layne, uncle James Layne, aunt Phillena Layne, KC, MO; paternal grandfather Charles Taylor, Sr, uncle Charles Taylor, Jr, aunt Tari Lucky, Longview, TX; fiance Rachel Teel, Clarksville, TN and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by brother Blake Josiah, father Ronald E. Taylor, maternal grandfather, Rev Phillip A Layne, paternal grandmother Mary E. Taylor.

RJ is the first-born from the union of Ardena Layne & Ronald Taylor. Weighing 2lbs lOozs. at birth RJ was a survivor & destined to be someone you would always remember. In his early years, you could find him calling orders at the family owned FATBURGER, charming government officials and chatting up celebrities & customers. RJ shared a special bond with little sister Alayne'. It could best be observed in the moments they thought no one was watching. You could hear RJ imparting big brother wisdom, consoling or simply having fun with his 'Sissy'. RJ was known for his signature 'knock you over hugs.' He accepted Christ at 6 y.o., baptized in Castaic Lake, CA. He was active in church, youth events, sports & camps. RJ's amassed extensive Hot Wheels, collectible cars, Lego's, Yugio cards, Nintendo, PlayStation & Xbox games. He loved his hobbies so much he needed separate suitcases when we traveled.

After graduating from PV High School he pursued a Computer Science degree. In his spare time, he joined other aficionados in various gaming, car, racing & drift clubs. RJ met Rachel Teel at a gaming event in Irvine, CA. The couple recently became engaged & were planning a 2023 wedding.

RJ & Rachel relocated to TN in 2019; the move put them closer to NASCAR and the lower cost of living allowed RJ to invest more in his passion. RJ remained an avid gamer. BLISK, (RJ's gamer tag), had teammates & opponents all over the world. For family & friends he was the one stop computer help desk & car buying guru. His extensive knowledge & expertise was phenomenal. On the morning of Dec 21st, RJ was involved in an auto accident; he did not survive his injuries. RJ leaves his mother Ardena Layne, RPV, CA; sister Alayne' Taylor, Seattle, WA:, MGV, maternal grandmother Ilene Layne, uncle James Layne, aunt Phillena Layne, KC, MO; paternal grandfather Charles Taylor, Sr, uncle Charles Taylor, Jr, aunt Tari Lucky, Longview,TX; fiance' Rachel Teel, Clarksville,TN and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by brother Blake Josiah Taylor, father Ronald E. Taylor, maternal grandfather, Rev Phillip A Layne, paternal grandmother Mary E. Taylor.
