Ronald Simpson Alvarez

Ronald “Jun” Alvarez passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on August 19, 1943 in Iloilo City, Iloilo, Philippines to Ricardo Alvarez and Nellie Simpson Kinann. He immigrated to the US in 1964 and served in the Vietnam War. Jun was a long time resident of Carson, CA, where he raised his children, Radcliffe, Cathy, Toni and Mark , and saw his family grow and multiply. Jun was known for his love of fishing, his garden and colorful sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Nennet; sisters, Nancy Gaspermint, Arlene Hazelrigg, and Bernadette Mueller; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jeff Maier, daughter, Toni McLaughin; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jolene Alvarez; grandchildren Carissa Alvarez, Jacob Briones, Ceara McLaughlin, Tyler Maier, Dylan Alvarez, Caitlin Alvarez, Joey McLaughlin, Jack Maier, Cassidy McLaughlin, and Ethan Alvarez; and great-granddaughter, Elena Alvarez-Garcia.
