Rocky Lamb Nelson

Rocky Lamb Nelson, 84, of Huntington Beach, California went to heaven and reunited
with his beloved wife, surrounded by lots of love and family on November 25, 2024.
Rocky was born in California in June 1940 to John Karl and Rheon Nelson. He graduated
from Banning, California High School and thereafter entered and honorably discharged
from the United States Army. Rocky earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics
and his Master of Science Degree in applied mathematics. He was a brilliant mathematician
and worked as a Senior Scientist Engineer in the aerospace industry. Rocky was married
to Winnie for whom he celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with, in December 2023.
His hobbies included watching movies, reading, trips to Las Vegas and spending time with
family and friends.
Rocky is survived by his children: Rocky and Vikki; and grandchildren: Savannah Anka
and Jacob Rocky. He considered his marriage, children, and grandchildren to be his biggest
achievements, followed by his education and career accomplishments. Rocky is also
survived by his brother, Lawrence.
Rocky was loved and will be missed deeply by family and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:30 a.m., December 16, 2024, at Green Hills
Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
