Robert Menes, when I think of this man, what comes to mind was a strong yet gentle man. He had such a big heart, family and friends knew just how much they meant to him. He had a big sense of humor, when he laughed so hard he would cry. He loved family he would like to remanice with us on how it was back in then like for instance him taking bean sandwiches for school lunch because that’s what they had to eat back then, he would talk about his Dad on how he had a philipino acsent so when he spoke English it wasn’t very well and he would say that his dad sounded like this ( I pharked to packer in the back) and it was so funny how he said it. As the holidays would come around the family would come by sons, daughter and grandchildren he loved that time his eyes would light up when all the family was there. And if you didn’t know grandma was the apple of his eye.
Robert had so many accomplishments in life the first and foremost he was a devoted husband and a great father to his children, he also served his country by serving in the Marine Corps , by not only fulfilling one of Gods commandments by loving one another he took a step further by devoting his time and energy in fighting the war to protect and keep us safe, then he started his almost 40yr career at Northrop by being an aircraft technician. These past several years he spent his time playing golf with his buddies BOY he loved his Thursdays with them “ I wonder if he’s playing golf right now. Robert fulfilled his purpose here on earth and now he is with his Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters, some day we will all be with him again.
