Robert G. Kinsey

Robert G. Kinsey, Born April 29, 1923 in Lethbridge Alberta, Canada to Rollo and Sarah Witbeck Kinsey of Payson, Utah. Preceded in death by his first wife Irene of Lomita and his son Chris Kinsey of Riverside; sister Marjorie Clanfield, brothers Bill and Dick Kinsey of Raymond Alberta, Bob was a WWII veteran having served with the USAF ("The Mighty Eighth") flying missions as a Lieutenant Navigator aboard a B-17 bomber in Europe during the latter days of the war. Upon his discharge from the service, he moved to Los Angeles. He was employed by the Los Angeles Police Department from 1946 to 1975. During his 29 years of service, 24 of his 29 years were served at the Harbor Division in San Pedro working, patrol, vice, narcotics and mostly robbery in the Detective Bureau where he was a Sergeant Detective III.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Simich Kinsey of 36 years, who shared with him his happy retirement in Valley Center and finally in Escondido, CA. He leaves his two daughters, Julia Haas (Stephan) and Sally Kinsey, granddaughters Madeleine Haas, Sheena Haas, Romy Lauprecht (Robert), their children, Bronwyn, Isla, Stellan and Kinsey. "Children of his heart" Laura and Matt Mulvihill, nephew Jeff Clanfield, nieces Lisa Clanfield and Kinsey Lee Huff, nephew John Simich (Diana) and children; nephew Steve Simich and niece Shellee Reeves (Scott) and children, grandson Ryan Morgan and "Best Neighbor" and all around friend Diane Tustin.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, 11:00am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel 27501 S. Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes.
