Robert Earl Harmon

January 19, 1942 — January 12, 2021

His journey began on January 19th 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK. to Dorothy Pierce and Homer Harmon and most recently resided in Lakewood Ca.

He successfully completed elementary school at St. Patrick's School in Oklahoma City in 1957. He then moved on to Graduate from Mount Saint Mary's High School in Oklahoma in 1961.

Robert enlisted in "The United States Navy" for 4 years the switched branches to "The United States Army" for 18 years for a total of 22 years of service involved in both Vietnam and Desert Storm wars and then Retired from the 109th Med Det.

Robert or some know him as "Bob" was a very active person. He was involved in everything. He was an active member in the church St. Columbian's which there he got involved in the Knights of Columbus, over time he was promoted to the status of "Grand Knight".

He encouraged his three sons to get involved in the Boy Scouts. There he became very involved and becoming an adult leader. As a leader in scouts he was able teach various badges that he had experience in.

Robert started his career path as a butcher with Gemco stores then to Luckys foods and then finally setting in with the USDA "United States Department of Agriculture" as a meat and poultry inspector. He then retired after 30 years of service.

Robert love to travel and enjoyed his trips overseas to Taiwan and cruise ship traveling. He loved to go out and eat oriental food and smorgasbord most of the time, he loved a selection.

He has left behind three sons, Lewis E Harmon, Robert P Harmon, Shaun P Harmon and daughters-in-law Carmen C Harmon, Shannon Harmon and partner Julia Baird, and seven grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Feb 9th at 11:30am at the "Green Hills Memorial Pavilion in Rancho Pala's Verdes Ca. An online memory obituary has been created if you would like to enter any memories.
