Robert Gonzales

Feb. 15, 1924 – Sept. 7, 2020 Robert Gonzales was born on February 15, 1924 in San Pedro, California. He died at home on September 7, 2020. Robert grew up in La Rambla neighborhood of San Pedro, and as an adult lived in Carson for the past 69 years. He is survived by his wife Ruth Gonzales; sons John (Maria) Gonzales and Robert A. Gonzales, daughter in-law Liz Gonzales, and stepson Carlos (Marie) La Farga; sisters Bertha Picazo and Helen Hurtado; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in heaven by his first wife of 22 years, Aurora (Dora) Gonzales; brother Luis Gonzales, sister Aurora (Lola) Morones; son Ernest Gonzales, and stepson Cleo La Farga. Visitation will take place from 4:30-8:30p.m. on Thursday, September 17th at Green Hills Memorial Park Pavilion, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Robert's funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18th at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Carson, California. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
