Robert Downs

Robert James Downs, of Temecula, CA, passed away on June 6th, 2022.

He was born on April 19th, 1936 to Harold Francis Downs and Anna Margaret Todd Downs in Chicago, IL.

His family relocated to Compton, CA where he attended St. Anthony's High School. He then went on to graduate from Loyola Marymount University and received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Long Beach State.

He married Ruth Cero Brockman Downs in 1963, and together they had three children, Michael Patrick Downs, Christopher Edward Downs and Charles Robert Downs.

Robert was an avid real estate investor, while working as a Procurement Specialist at North American Aviation. Upon retirement he then focused on spending time with family and tending to his properties.

Robert is survived by his children Christopher Downs and Charles Downs, Daughters-In-Law; Lori Bostater Downs and Jill Champlin Downs, and grandchildren; Taylor Downs, Erin Downs, Sean Downs and Hudson Downs.

He was preceded in death by his loving Wife, Ruth Cero Downs, Brother, James Robert Downs and Son, Michael Patrick Downs.

Funeral services will be 2pm on June 20th, 2022 at Green Hills Cemetery in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA with Pastor Kevin Reddick officiating.

Interment will follow after the ceremony. Pallbearers will be Charles Downs, Chris Downs, David Downs, William Saacke, Patrick Murphy and Feliciano Lepe.
