Robert David Williams

Williams, Robert D, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on December 28, 2011 surrounded by family. Robert was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1931 and was a direct descendent of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland. He received a BSEE from Texas A&M in 1954 where he played saxophone as a member of the band. Robert loved jazz and big band music and performed in bands throughout his college years. He had a lengthy career in aerospace and held a number of executive positions at TRW Space and Defense over his 20 years with the company. Robert will be remembered for his intelligence and generosity.

Robert is survived by his children, Susan Williams, Robert D. Williams Jr., James Williams and Linda Williams; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hatfield Williams; his parents, Robert Green Williams and Courtney Hood Williams; and his Sister Betty Williams Early. Services will be private.
