Robert Bruce Daligney, 90, died on December 6, 2022, at Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City, CA after a battle with pneumonia.
He was born in Yellville, Arkansas on October 22, 1932. He was raised by his mother Jessica Taylor and Frank Vogt. His family moved to San Pedro California when he was a young child and he lived in Southern California his whole life. He attended Narbonne High School which was located in Lomita California at the time and then went on to finish his schooling at UCLA where he received a bachelor's degree in education. He dedicated and served two years in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his second wife June Daligney, his daughter Ronda Lynn Courtney, his son Robert Douglas Daligney, his grandchildren Melanie Ingreso, Jason Pedroza, Keith and Nicole Beard, and Kevin and Julie Molina. And many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He spent his career working for the Los Angeles Unified School district as a Physical Education Teacher. He was known to everybody as "Coach Daligney".
His funeral will be Tuesday, December 20th at 11:30 a.m. in The chapel at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes.
His was a life that was well and fully lived.
