Robert W. "Bob" Mcnutt

August 23, 1942 — January 28, 2014

Bob McNutt passed away at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, California, on January 28, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born August 23, 1942 in Appalachia, Virginia but spent most of his life in Redondo Beach, California. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Kathy, in 2008; and is survived by his beloved daughter Julie (Tim), treasured grandchildren Andrew (Jennifer), Travis, Joshua, and Hannah, and great-granddaughter Korbyn Kathleen. Bob also leaves his brothers Ronald (Pamela), Hobart Junior, Michael, and his sister Sally, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who will cherish his memory always.

Bob joined the U.S. Army in 1959 and served for three years as an ICBM missile crewman. He spent the majority of his career at Northrop in Hawthorne and El Segundo. He was a Milling Machinist from 1976-1978, and then became a Production Supervisor. He retired from that position in 1994, and was manager of an apartment complex in Redondo Beach. He had resided in Fallbrook, California since 2008.

Bob's greatest joy in life came from his family. His love for his daughter, grandchildren, great-granddaughter and siblings was deep and unwavering. He will live in our hearts forever.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA . (310) 831-0311.
