Rick Monje

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son Rick Monje who left us too soon - our hearts are broken. He was 42 years old.

Rick was born in San Pedro to Evelyn and David Monje on August 20, 1975 and entered the gates of heaven on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:12pm.

Rick attended Barton Hill, Dana Junior High and San Pedro High School - Ricky is also a fourth generation loyal member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU Local 13) for 17 years.

Rick was preceeded in death by his father, David Monje, grandparents, Jenny and Chavalo Monje and Sam and Catherine Ardaiz, his uncles and aunts, Richard Monje, Ernie and Sylvia Monje, Patsy Monje, Sam Ardaiz Jr., his cousins, Ernie Monje Jr., Jackie Monje and Brien Ardaiz.

Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Evelyn Monje, his children, Reyna and Ricky Monje Jr., his brother, David Monje Jr., his aunts and uncles, Marina Monje, Chisty Lynn Ardaiz, Linda Ardaiz Banda, John Banda, also his godparents, his first cousins, Catherine and Rudy Alvidrez, Pat Monje, Cathy Campos, Lori and Larry Garcia, Linda and Joel Hilbert, his nephews and nieces, David Monje III, Maya Ev Monje and Leo John Monje - and many more cousins and life long friends.
