Richard Lee Howard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Lee Howard. Richard passed away at the age of 89 on Tuesday, April 16th in San Pedro, California surrounded by loved ones. He was a longtime resident of Rancho Palos Verdes and is survived by his loving wife Patricia, and three sons Stephen, Vincent and Joseph along with his granddaughters Madeline and Ashley.

Richard was born in Bellwood, Illinois on November 23rd, 1934 and grew up in the Chicago area joining the Army during the 1950's and then graduating from DePaul University. Richard and Patricia met at a church dance and were married in 1961. He became a CPA and raised his family in Maywood and then Western Springs, before relocating to Rancho Palos Verdes in 1986 continuing to work as an accountant along with having his own tax business on the side. Richard was a kind, gentle and loving father, brother, husband and grandfather. He will be missed greatly and remembered dearly by his family, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 10am at Green Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary located at 27501 S. Western Avenue in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
