Rene Spann Takii, beloved mother, grandmother, and life partner, passed away peacefully in California. She was the devoted mother of Albert Menchaca, and cherished grandmother to Quintin and Rio Menchaca, as well as to her great-grandchild, Autumn Fox. She is survived by her life partner, Romeo Santos, with whom she shared years of love and companionship.
Born in Germany, Rene emigrated to the United States with her young son in the early 1960s, where she settled in California and built a fulfilling life. Her professional journey began in the fashion industry as a buyer in downtown the Los Angeles fashion district, where her impeccable taste and keen eye for style made her a respected figure in her field. Later, Rene found a new passion in education, becoming a dedicated school teacher in the South Bay area. She touched the lives of many students with her warmth, wisdom, and compassion.
Rene will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of family, and her ability to bring beauty and grace into every aspect of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and resilience that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
