Rebecca Elena Chavez

Rebecca Elena Chavez, age 42, was born February 5, 1982, in West Covina, California to Cayetano A. Chavez and Rebecca M. Robbins. On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, her life was taken. Her strong and loving heart stopped beating instantly without any pain, ending her life journey peacefully.

Rebecca enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She was beautiful, funny, outgoing, and vivacious but she was also introverted and introspective.

Pregnant at 17, she didn't complete high school. At one point, she had her own place and two jobs, creating a life for her daughter and herself. However, she later turned to drug addiction and
homelessness for over a decade. Despite the challenges, she
preserved and found pride in her ability to survive on the streets
of Carson and Long Beach.

We will always remember her infectious smile and caring
personality. She will be missed every day by her daughter Destiny; parents: Cayetano and Rebecca; sisters: Andrea, Lety (Rick), Julia, and Angelica; brothers Daniel (Jacqueline) and Angelo, six nieces, five nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many friends.
