Ralph R. Logan

Ralph R. (Bud) Logan, age 84, passed away at his home in Rolling Hills Estates, CA surrounded by is family on May 8, 2019.

He was born on December 29, 1934 in Pasadena, CA to Ernest and Angela (Rider) Logan and is survived by all 5 of his sisters and brother: Virginia (Larry) Pearsall, Sandra Porter, Joseph (Sharon) Logan, Diana (William) Vincent, and Charlotte (John) Kosty.

Ralph attended schools in Los Angeles, graduating in 1953 from Los Angeles High and in 1957 with an Engineering Degree from UCLA.

On June 1, 1957, he married Lorraine Margaret Larson and had 2 daughters, Deborah (Gary ) Pfahler and Lorrie (Robert) Armstrong. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jonathan (Danielle) Pfahler and Jason Pfahler, and 2 great=grandchildren, Autumn and Frank Pfahler. He also has over 20 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Ralph and his brother Joseph were the owners of B & W Tile Company, a manufacturing and sales facility of ceramic tile which sold products nationally. He faithfully worked there for over 60 years, retiring at age 82. His brother and he grew the company from a small factory to a much larger operation which made specialty tile pieces unique to their company. He also worked at Parker Aircraft as an engineer from 1957 to 1960.

He enjoyed traveling, cruising, and camping with his wife of over 61 years and family. He favorite place to visit was his cabin in Dinkey Creek, CA and he especially enjoyed spending time with relatives at Shaver Lake. He loved water skiing, boating, snow skiing, and motorcycle riding.

Ralph was also very active with his church and held many positions there, including Treasurer, and financial secretary, and was a member of their Tech Crew. Ralph and Lorraine were members of the Rolling Hills Covenant Church for over 53 years.

Ralph was a very generous and loving man, who also enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, and relaxing with his computer when not spending time with family.

Ralph succumbed to lung disease in his home after a long battle. His family will miss him dearly, but we know we one day will be reunited with him in heaven.

A memorial service to honor Ralph's life will be held Monday May 20, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the North Campus of Rolling Hills Covenant Church, 2221 Palos Verdes Dr. North, Rolling Hills Estates, CA. Interment will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. In Lieu of flowers, a donation to Alpine Christian Camp or Rolling Hills Covenant Church would be requested by the family.
