Purificacion S. Bautista

Purificacion S. Bautista, our cherished mother and a grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 93, surrounded by her loved ones on December 12, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1931, as the second youngest of six children to Esteban Santiago and Francisca Lawag Santiago. She was a well-respected and beloved teacher, admired by both her students and colleagues alike. Puring, affectionately also known as Siony, was married for 24 years to Dr. Jesus R. Bautista, who passed away before her. They have five children: Alicia, Elenita, Ireneo (deceased), Olivia, and Ulysses. As a devoted mother and widow, aside from the moral values and love of family, she also instilled in her children the value of education, and all of them went on to graduate in their chosen fields of medicine and dentistry. With her unconditional love, she gave us, her children and grandchildren the “roots and wings” to flourish in life. In addition to her children, she is also survived by her sons-in-law, Benjamin and Danilo; her daughter-in-law, Marian; her grandchildren, Paolo Jesus, Jeyel and his wife, Catherine, Ruel and his wife, Trisha, Justin and Lillian; her great-grandchildren, Adam, Miles, Hayden and Cale; as well as her nieces and nephews; great grandnieces and great grand nephews. We cordially invite you to a memorial service celebrating the life of our beloved mother, taking place at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel, 27501 South Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, on January 4, 2025.
